But I've had mine since April 7 and have almost 5000 miles on it. I love it! It is a great car and more fun than anything I've driven...and I'm a 59 year old car guy. Most every other car is more an appliance. This one you actually have to drive, and you get to feel the road, etc. And it's quirks are endearing and make it the unique ride that it is. I drove first genertation for three years so and had already some experience. So I can confirm that the Fortwo is a Smart fortwo "is a real car with real-car faults" like Ann is saying. But the Smart has 2 things more than other car:it is fun to drive and it is stress free. So don't read reviews, just relax and endjoy I am living in France and just got my new second generation Smart and I love it.
